2008 News

November 30th 2008 saw the official launch of Hull 96 as Leeds 6 and new acquisition Blackpool 752. Many special workings took place, including trams in the dark. We also held a model works tram competition, attracting 31 entries.

On November 18th, 752 was transferred from Blackpool to its new home at Heaton Park Tramway. Following years of disuse in Blackpool, 752's future is now secure. 752 will become the first dedicated works car at the park and this will mean that passenger trams will no longer be used for works duties. 

In time, 752 will be restored as Blackpool No 1 in it's original red livery.
