Work is now well underway on our extension at Lakeside. 5th July 2011 The tramway now features new signage. 1st July 2011 All 3 trams were posed at the new terminus today after testing. 21st June 2011 Following some drilling and cutting today, work began and finishing off the straight track. With the track complete, all that was needed was a test run... The team have a well-earned rest. After further testing, more earth was brought in to create a new loading area. 19th June 2011 All 3 trams have ventured onto the extension for the first time today. 16th June 2011 The earth works are now up to track level. 14th June 2011 Work has now started on filling between the rails. 31st May 2011 The team are currently working on the siding. 22nd May 2011 The track work team have now passed the points. 14th May 2011 The track work team have now reached the points. 19th April 2011 Track work is continuing across the road. The track gang are almost up to the points and straight track. Rail now needs drilling and cutting before further progress can be made. 752 is used to transport tools and crew.
31 also made a test run onto the new track. 10th April 2011 Track work continued on Sunday 10th April.

The second rail is bent to shape. 29th March 2011 The first of the new lengths of rail has been bent into shape. 22nd March 2011 We are now connected. Work can now concentrate across the road. 12th March 2011 Further rail has been bent and placed ready for cutting and joining. 1st March 2011 We have now borrowed a rail bender. The new track has been curved into shape. Shorter lengths are also being prepared. 30th January 2011 Following the recent bad weather, work has now recommenced on our extension.
